I have been dying to share these images!  I teamed up with Blink Photography to plan this Christmas themed wedding shoot. Our goal was to create a setting that incorporated the essence of the holidays without it looking “Christmassy”. I just love the way it came together! The shoot was also published on Burnett’s Boards. You can view the post here.  So here is a little wedding inspiration for those of you who are planning a wedding near the holidays.

Thank you to all of the vendors involved who made this shoot beautiful!

When you cross an elementary school special needs teacher with a soldier you have a winning combination. At least that’s how I felt when I met Brent and Ellen. They were lucky winners of a free engagement session contest I ran and it couldn’t have gone to better people.

I always like to let couples choose their location for their engagement shoot. I feel like it’s best when it’s a place they feel comfortable and somewhere they can be themselves. I also love to shoot at new locations and the more excited I am about a shoot the better! Brent choose South Platte Park because he had fished there before and I think it was a fabulous spot!

This photo is one of my favorites out of the entire session. Sometimes when I see a couple in a position I really love I just start shooting from all angles. I didn’t think about Brent’s knee until I asked Ellen to get up. Whoops! He was such a trooper!

This looks like a happy ending but it’s really just the beginning for these two! I hope you have a wonderful life together!

This laid back couple from Kansas decided to hold their wedding in Julie’s hometown. It was my first time visiting Fairplay and I fell  in love with this quaint little town. They held there ceremony in the same chapel Julie’s parents where married in and their reception was within walking distance. Julie and her mother did an amazing job decorating the venue with loads of diy details. They used a bold green and purple color palette and it turned out gorgeous.

These handmade bouquets were stunning with the various glitzy broaches scattered throughout it.

This chapel was so lovely. It looked like something out of a storybook!

Brian and Julie found a great little spot to take some photos off of a country road nearby. The mountains looked beautiful in the background and one of the mountains happened to be one that they hiked together!

I was ridiculously excited when I was asked to photograph Tiffany and Kelly’s July 4th wedding at Valle Vista Country Club in Greenwood, Indiana. I immediately knew it would be a gorgeous wedding because I was very familiar with this particular venue. This place is beautiful! It’s surrounded by a well manicured golf course with gazebos, ponds, swans and a variety of trees. I could go on and on about how much I love Valle Vista!

Tiffany and Kelly’s wedding was not a disappointment. It was full of love and laughter from their very supportive friends and family. I was overjoyed to have a part in my first same sex wedding and even happier to be in Indiana over the 4th of July weekend!

Tiffany and the groomsman pulled up to the ceremony on these luxury golf carts and Kelly followed shortly behind in a horse drawn carriage.

Kelly was stunning along side her flower girls and her daughter was more than happy to pose for me throughout the day.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when they enjoyed a dance together in front of a pretty pond.

There was a little 4th of July flare because it wouldn’t be right to get married on the 4th and not show a little support.

This candy bar was so cute! There was hardly a moment where I glanced over and didn’t see children digging into it. It was obviously the highlight of their night.
